Prima Training has been set up to train all taxi drivers and escorts who are currently doing contract work for the local education authority and the social services who will from September 2007 require all to be trained to a standard recommended by the community transport association

This is designed and aimed at anyone who has care or supervision of passengers traveling by road - in cars, taxis, minicabs or large buses

It is relevant to volunteers as well as paid staff

It covers legal, practical and safety issues - a comprehensive training package

The aims are to improve passenger safety by providing the skills and information for passenger assistants to understand and meet the needs of their passengers
