Doug Robinson

Internal Verifier & Assessor

Doug has been with Prima Training since November 2007 and has seen the company grow from strength to strength.

Doug’s primary role is as Internal Verifier for the Transport NVQs that Prima Training offers. Doug is also a MiDAS and PATS Trainer as well as an HSE approved First Aid Trainer.

Suzanne Jovanovic

Quality & Contracts Manager

Suzanne joined Prima in January 2008 as Contracts Manager to liaise with other contractors maximizing Prima Training’s own training potential and she has recently acquired overall responsibility for Quality Assurance. She is responsible for the Admin and Data department who manage data input, External Verifier visits, Customer Service and diary management amongst many other day to day tasks.

Suzanne also works closely with the training team to ensure that targets are set and achieved, and advising on quality issues and funding requirements.

Other duties include key account management, equality and diversity, bid writing and various project management strategies as instructed by funding and government bodies.

Stewart Bell

Training Manager

Stewart joined Prima in November 2007 as a Trainer/NVQ assessor. His role involved putting the training courses together, writing the assessment questions and working alongside the pilot candidates whilst he worked towards his A1 & A2. Stewart undertook Trainer training courses in Passenger assistance training and Manual handling other course’s included Fire Safety, Equality and Diversity and rules, regulations and route planning.

From January 2009 Stewart started his role as Training Manager which involves Staff training Programmes and setting the training for candidates. He also does observations on the trainers to ensure they are following the correct guidelines. Stewart also works with the assessors in a lead assessor role; this involves working closely with the Internal Verifier to ensure the assessment team is bringing in their files in on time and up to standard.

Chris Lawson

CPC Manager

Chris Lawson has been with Prima Training since June 2009 and Chris' role at Prima Training is Training Manager for CPC and Driver training.

It is his role to train people in all aspects of transport from mini bus up to LGV Cat. C+E

Chris also trains ADR chemicals up to British standard for the transport industries.

Stephan McBeth

Trainer & Assessor

Stephan has had many career changes, giving a variety of life experiences. He’s been a taxi driver for 9 years, and had experience in sales, care, M.O.D. and the bakery trade.

He’s now working at Prima Training as a N.V.Q. trainer and assessor in the passenger transport industry. At Prima Training he’s been able to develop his skills to help others gain an in depth knowledge and understanding of their own industry.

Stephan has also been able to develop himself personally to teach adults in any size group and from any type of background. Stephan is now a MIDAS instructor, first aid instructor and able to deliver PATS, DATS, BTEC and even NVQ.

Neil Gardiner

Trainer & Assessor

Neil Gardiner born 1972 has worked across the transport and motor industry from HGV/LGV haulage to mobile catering and courier work and motor repair.

Neil eventually found his home as Taxi Driver, completing both his PATS and Road Passenger Vehicle Driving qualifications.

Neil joined Prima Training in 2008 and has progressed to a Trainer and Assessor, delivering PATS, MiDAS, Driver CPC and HSE First Aid.

Barry Potts

Trainer & Assessor

Barry Potts has spent 13 years working in the hospitality and late night entertainment sector, 8 of which were spent in managerial positions. He has covered all positions from cellar & stock management, promotional management, cash management, staffing levels and door staff management. Barry has worked with many top-name DJ’s, local up and coming bands and other forms of late night entertainment.

Barry joined Prima Training in 2008 as an N.V.Q. assessor for the hospitality sector, First Aid instructor and also delivering PATS & MiDAS, Manual Handling and several Hospitality licensing courses.

Jimmy Blake

Business Development Manager & Assessor

Jimmy has been with Prima Training since January 2009. Jimmy’s principle role for Prima is Business Development Manager. This along with his legal Knowledge is to enhance the company’s business in the market place.

Since he joined Prima Training he has achieved his award in IAG, NVQ Level 3 and has became a MiDAS Trainer. He has also regained his LGV and PCV driving licences to train in driving instruction, and completed training in ADR to become an ADR instructor.

Jimmy is also about to complete his qualification in RPVD as an assessor. Previously he has gained a qualification as an Advanced Motorcycle Rider. Finally he is also due to start training to become a First Aid Instructor.

Michael Flowers

IT Support Engineer

Michael Flowers (23) graduated from the University of Sunderland in 2008, specialising in the development of multimedia and games. Since his graduation Michael has taken on various roles including Software Engineer, Website designer and IT Support.

He joined Prima Training early 2009 where he was asked to custom build an enterprise class Management Information System for the Admin Team in association with the University of Sunderland.

Linda Weatherill

Lead Administrator

Linda’s job is to contact learners and employers to arrange training. She liaises with the DSA to arrange driving tests and the SQA to arrange our ADR courses.

Linda also helps with general admin work and data input, overseeing 3 junior staff. As Equality & Diversity officer she also attend regional conferences and seminars to keep up to date with current issues.
